Equality between women and men in political rights is not a religious or legal problem, but rather a social, political and cultural problem, as there is no text in the Holy Quran or in the Sunnah of the Prophet that deprives women of their political rights, the most important of which is the right to vote, run for office and employment. There is no doubt that despite the recognition of women's right to exercise their political rights - like men - as stipulated in the charters of declarations and international conventions on human rights - in general - and women's rights in particular.
