The role of civil society organizations in empowering Egyptian women and achieving sustainable development

Abstract

The research will aim to study the role of civil society organizations in empowering women to play their role in sustainable development, because women are one of the most important parties contributing to achieving sustainable development. To achieve the desired goal, we have made a theoretical rooting of the concepts of civil society, sustainable development and women's empowerment, where we deal with presentation and analysis of the nature of civil society organizations and their camouflage role. Applying alternative development strategies since the eighties, then presenting the sustainable development strategy and the human development strategy, then explaining the concept of women's empowerment and its economic, political and social dimensions.
