The role of the endowment in community development

Abstract

The Muslim's faith, his way of life, and his view of the world as a passage and a farm for the hereafter, exhort him to seek to increase and maximize his credit in the hereafter, through charitable works and other activities, including almsgiving. Foremost among them is the endowment as an element that can be given and renewed (ongoing charity).  The endowment of both types: atomic and charitable, is based on a legitimate support from the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the consensus of the nation, which has remained practiced until the present time, and its resources have diversified, as well as its banks have multiplied to include various aspects of human, economic and social life  and educational and health.
