Abstract

This research concluded with an explanation of the nature of the work of the Public Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court, and through this research it became clear to us that the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court specified the crimes that fall within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court, and that the initiation of the international criminal case is either through the prosecution internally through a referral from a State party or by the Prosecutor or through the external prosecution through the UN Security Council or through any State that is not a party, as we found out that the Prosecutor must obtain permission from the Pre-Trial Chamber before taking any action Investigation procedures, and among the powers of the Public Prosecutor is to move to the countries where international crimes are committed and to issue an arrest warrant and a summons to appear in addition to approving the charges, as it became clear to us that the Public Prosecutor is entrusted with listing all evidence related to the accusation or innocence, and therefore he is not an opponent in the procedures, but Whenever evidence appears proving that the accused is innocent, he must disclose it.
