Abstract

However, it was established after ratifying the Child Law of 1989, which entered into force in 1990, therefore determining the child's age. It also prohibited the recruitment of children under 18 years old because everywhere, a person under 18 years old is considered a child. The member states have been obliged to adopt this age restriction because many countries used to enlist children at 12, 16, etc. Recently, with wars and conflicts globally, whether in Asia or Africa, the term child soldiers has been imposed on the international scene due to the emergence of many terrorist entities and groups in the Arab region, the Middle East, and the world that it becomes a threat to states' security.
