Marine insurance was the first type of insurance to emerge due to the boom in maritime trade between the cities of Italy and the countries located on the basin. Marine insurance has become an important regulatory measure, and fixed foundations and rules were laid for it with the emergence of the first legal system of marine insurance called (Barcelona Orders) issued in 1935.
