Article (381) of the Egyptian Code of Criminal Procedure stipulates in its last paragraph that it is not permissible to appeal against the rulings of criminal courts except by cassation or reconsideration elected by the people (jurors) with judges specializing in sentencing, which is incompatible with making their verdicts appealable because the word of the people may not be reflected.
