Abstract

The travel ban in criminal offenses is the most prominent form of this procedure due to the need to investigate or maintain the security of society, and the specificity of the travel ban and its direct violation of human freedom, many comparative legal systems included a detailed regulation of this procedure.  However, Emirati and Egyptian legislators have not issued a law regulating this measure, despite its seriousness and in violation of the constitution. Emirati and Egyptian legislators have recently partially corrected this imbalance by including travel bans in some important criminal laws, such as the amended Illicit Gains Law. The Anti-Terrorism Law and the Anti-Cybercrime Law legitimize the travel ban if it is taken in one of these crimes.
