Towards child-friendly justice within the framework of civil procedural law United Arab Emirates

Abstract

Studies indicate that the percentage of children in the UAE is approximately 51% of the population, which is one of the highest in the world, and the country pays great attention to childhood, and has adopted national plans, unremitting efforts, qualitative initiatives and effective strategies for child care since the nineties and continues tirelessly to this day, and these initiatives specifically include the provision of health and psychosocial care for children as well as the enactment of laws related to children, in order to include child care in all aspects of life. In confirmation of these efforts, the Federal Child Rights Law No. 3 of 2016 was issued, which stipulates in Article (2/5) that one of its objectives is: "Educating children about their rights, obligations and duties in a society where the values of justice, equality, tolerance and moderation prevail," and Article (39/1) of the law refers to the establishment of child protection units aimed at developing and implementing child protection mechanisms and measures as stipulated in the law. This positive trend in the protection of children's rights coincides with the issuance of high directives from the wise government to improve By working with the government by providing distinguished services characterized by speed, accuracy and efficiency in order to achieve the welfare of the citizen and save time and effort, the need arose to reconsider the justice system and its suitability with the needs of the child and its compatibility with his physical, mental, psychological and social structure and formation.
