Provisions criminalizing crimes of assault on the state's information systems

Abstract

Information has become the main commodity in the whole world, as countries will not be measured by their armies, forces or wealth at the present time, but the first measure of the state's power is the amount of information it produces and the information industry, its use and dealing together, information is the power of this information explosion as the assault on the safety of networks, systems and information technologies - for the state - To a large extent, both from illegal access to communications technology and the state's computer technology, and whether in terms of disabling and obstructing data, attacking its integrity and illegal access to it. The crimes of penetration and assault on information and data of state institutions have increased, as well as crimes of destruction and transmission of data and information uploaded to the Internet or other networks through the websites or information systems of the State. This is a development in criminal methods using technology, due to criminals penetrating these information and programs, accessing them, and attacking their content by changing, destroying, or stealing them, which prompted the penal legislator in many countries of the world to criminalize and punish these acts.
