Abstract

Many scientists and researchers interested in the uses of nuclear energy believe that it is one of the important sources of progress and prosperity for any society and is indispensable because it is the energy of the future, and ignoring it or failing to use it is a violation of the rights of future generations because it is the main source for achieving sustainable development goals. The political leadership in the Arab Republic of Egypt has realized the great importance of nuclear energy in shaping the future of this country.  The spark was launched to start achieving the Egyptian dream, and today's dream is the reality of tomorrow, especially if this dream is associated with a national issue related to the reality and future of Egypt, and based on this importance to achieve the sustainable development goals in Egypt, where the Egyptian government conducted a series of negotiations with the Russian side (2016-2017) to build, operate, supply fuel and store spent fuel for a nuclear power plant consisting of (4) Units with reactors type (1200-VVER) MW each, in addition to the issuance of an acceptance permit during the year 2019 to choose the Dabaa site (SAP) from the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority (ENRRA).
