International responsibility for violations of the protection of civilians and civilian objects during armed conflict

Abstract

The subject of international responsibility is one of the relatively new topics in legal studies, imposed by the increasing interest of the international community in the subject of violations of international humanitarian law and international crimes against humanity, especially after the Second World War. The woes it has left on all humanity. International responsibility is the effect of a breach by a subject of international law of an international criminal norm, the proof of which entails on the State the occurrence of civil consequences manifested by holding the State responsible for the damage caused by its breach of its obligations, and criminal consequences relating to the prosecution of war criminals as individuals and holding them criminally responsible for the violations they have committed.
