Characteristics of the criminal policy to combat electronic commercial fraud in the Saudi system

Abstract

Everyone agrees that crime is a phenomenon in all societies linked to man since ancient times, and it develops and varies in its methods, means and tools according to the diversity and development of societies, so it has taken an international dimension across continents through various means, which requires the organizer in each country to reconsider the identification of the characteristics, means and tools of criminal policy, as it aims to combat crime and limit its spread. Although their definitions differ and their terminology varies. Sharia and legal scholars have differed in the definition of the term criminal policy, so there are many definitions with multiple scientific references for each, but they agree that criminal policy in all countries agrees in its content and objectives to achieve security and protect society and its members from the threat of crime. Among the criminal policy in the Saudi system, the subject of our research is with regard to the characteristics of the criminal policy to combat the crime of electronic commercial fraud, It is one of the new and advanced economic crimes, which requires the use of modern techniques to detect its criminal evidence, verify and prove its occurrence, the availability of its pillars on which it is based only, its characteristics and the legal consequences of combating and eliminating it by following a preventive criminal policy to protect the individual and society.
