Determinants of attracting foreign direct investment in the Sultanate of Oman "analytical study"

Abstract

During the past two decades, the world has witnessed many transformations at the level of the global economic balance of power, with the emergence of many developing countries and emerging markets such as the BRICS countries, as well as the growing criticism of the global economic system, and the major crises that the world has witnessed and affected many countries have contributed to these transformations.  Which affected the economic and financial conditions such as the Asian financial crisis in the nineties of the last century, the global food crisis, the global economic and financial crisis in 2007 and 2008, the crises of some Latin America countries at the beginning of the millennium, and the problem of climate change, which is still ongoing, leading to the crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic or Corona. This has been accompanied by the growing interest and interest in development policies by international organizations, foremost of which is the United Nations, leading to the latter's adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015.
