The economic importance of tax revenues in some countries.

Abstract

The tax is one of the most important sources of financing the general budget on the basis that it represents one of the important tributaries of revenues used by the state to cover expenditures, and it is also a means to satisfy public needs, as it exercises multiple economic, social, cultural and service functions due to the huge funds provided by the tax It is considered one of the oldest and most important financial sources of the state due to its share in structuring the general revenues of the state's general tax. They play an important role in mobilizing the financial resources of States and maximizing economic efficiency. All countries of the world depend on tax revenues, which constitute a basic financial source that cannot disappear as long as there is an economy that includes industrial and commercial activity and deducts from them compulsory financial shares to be directed later to finance public expenditures and directly sponsor investments and contributions of a social nature. The tax concerns many sectors of society, it concerns the family sector, the business sector, the economy and investments, and the government sector in the country. It is one of the most important sources of public revenue for countries and the importance of taxes has increased with the increase in their share in the structure of public revenues.
