The crime of terrorism in UAE legislation.

Abstract

The subject of terrorism is a serious concern in the texts of international law, penal law and national law because of the danger that terrorism poses to society, because it causes insecurity, destruction of property, violation of freedoms, killings, abduction of safe civilians, endangerment of members of society, spread of terror among them, damage to the economy, homes and obstruction of people's normal lives. The research examined the concept of terrorist crime and touched upon the elements of terrorist crime and the measures taken by the UAE in combating terrorism. The research found that terrorist crime is a group of acts of violence and panic against individuals or state authorities. or changing constitutional and legal systems within the State and creating a public threat to an unlimited number of people, and that the UAE federal legislature has pursued a stringent penal policy regarding criminalization and punishment of terrorist offences in view of the gravity of terrorist offences and their harmful effects on society, which is evident from the seriousness of the penalties.
