Positive legislation varies in its treatment of liability arising from inanimate objects and the establishment of special rules for compensation for damages resulting from them ([1]), and a thing is defined in the language as all that exists, and a thing is everything that is not alive and requires special care to be guarded. Article 131 of the Lebanese Code of Obligations and Contracts stipulates that: "The custodian of movable and immovable solids shall be liable for the damage caused by such solids even while they are not under his actual management or control, such as a vehicle at the time of travel, a plane at the time of flight or an elevator at the time of use. It is not sufficient for the receiver to prove that he did not commit a mistake and that the existence of a previous contract between the receiver and the injured party does not preclude the imposition of liability arising from things unless the law stipulates to the contrary. In the French Civil Code, article 1242 stipulates that "a person shall not be liable only for damages resulting from his personal act, but also for those resulting from persons subordinate to him or objects in his custody", and we believe that the provision on liability for the act of objects in the French Civil Code applies only to dangerous objects.
