Objective criminal protection of the privacy of personal data in light of the digital age in UAE law (a comparative study).

Abstract

The study tried to clarify the impact of modern technology on the life of the individual, so the personal data of individuals swims in the digital world for economic, political, commercial or social purposes, and this has led to the exposure of the individual to the assault on his personal data from large companies, which prompted the federal legislator to find protection for private data, so he worked to criminalize the violation of the sanctity of personal data in the digital world in accordance with Federal Law No. 45/2021 and laws and legislation complementary to penalties, as well as the protection approved by the country's constitution rights and freedoms by stipulating them and giving them constitutional protection in articles 25-44, The study discussed personal data related to a specific person and related to communication with modern technology as a prerequisite for the determination of legal protection of a penal nature in accordance with the laws and legislation of the United Arab Emirates, the researcher has used the descriptive analytical comparative approach to report legal protection in the laws and legislation of the United Arab Emirates, in addition to comparative legislation represented in the provisions of Egyptian law, and we reached in this regard a number of conclusions and recommendations essential, the most important of which is that until the present time no executive regulation has been organized for the law Federal Personal Data Protection This is why we recommend expediting the issuance of this regulation.
