Abstract

In fact, the growth of technological tools calls for more serious thinking about the subject of robotic justice, and the integration of algorithms into the process of criminal adjudication. Resorting to artificial intelligence in order to obtain a ruling in a criminal case is no longer just a hypothetical issue, but has become an existing reality, which in turn raises many questions about this topic. The question now is, what is robotic justice? What are the effects of applying robotic justice in criminal justice? What are the obstacles that prevent the application of robotic justice in criminal justice? Clearly, these questions shed light on a fundamental issue: the extent to which algorithmic justice is compatible with the basic principles of criminal justice, including the presumption of innocence, The right to a fair case, and equality between adversaries in weapons.
