Abstract
The world has witnessed the emergence of several economic blocs since the end of World War II, and with the spread of globalization, other economic and political blocs and blocs began to appear, such as the African Union, the Asian Union (ASEAN), the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum, and other economic blocs and blocs. Since the beginning of the third millennium, some countries in the world have tended to build modern economic and political alliances and blocs. In light of the perpetuation of American hegemony, and behind it the European countries, and the use of their military and economic superiority to dominate global economic activity and direct it to serve their interests and ambitions and to be unilateral in making international decisions, this has constituted a strong motivation on the part of most countries to search for an alternative to American hegemony and to support each other in the form of Strong alliances and blocs in order to formulate a new multipolar world order to limit Western hegemony and the independence of national decision-making, especially countries with rapid economic growth such as China, India, Russia and Brazil, and from here came the idea of the BRICS alliance.” Hence, this study aims to identify the challenges facing the BRICS bloc. For example, can the BRICS bloc form a new multipolar world order that restores international economic balance and ends the unipolar policy, or is American hegemony, and what is behind it, Will the European countries that run the global economic system prevent it from doing so? The results of the study indicate that although there are differences between the member countries of the BRICS group, these five countries have an important bond between them, which is that they do not belong to the circle of Western civilization, as they constitute several civilizations. Different. This requires the necessity of strengthening the efforts undertaken by the BRICS countries to establish a multipolar international system. Promoting economic growth and development to achieve mutual prosperity. Ensuring the reform of multilateral institutions to enhance their “credibility, and enhancing sustainable development efforts” by expressing a common voice for a group. 'BRICS' on environmental and climate issues in those institutions, and improving the actual ability to make decisions within the bloc, and implement them in the diplomatic, economic and security fields.
