Abstract

The Federal Supreme Court in the United Arab Emirates is one of the most important judicial institutions in the country and is considered a fundamental pillar in the UAE's judicial system. The Federal Supreme Court interprets and applies the constitution and UAE laws, representing the highest judicial authority in the state. The role of the Federal Supreme Court in the UAE is characterized by many important aspects, particularly in preserving criminal justice and ensuring personal rights and freedoms. Regarding criminal aspects, the Federal Supreme Court is responsible for considering appeals submitted against rulings issued by various courts in the country, including criminal judgments. The purpose of these appeals is to complete justice and ensure that there are no amendments or biases to the issued rulings. Appeals also aim to protect individual rights and ensure the law is applied efficiently and effectively.
