Abstract

Civil liability is one of the important legal topics that illustrates the reality of societies and the disputes that occur between individuals. It places a person in question if they violate legal rules, resulting in harm to others, and obliges them to compensate for the damage. Therefore, it is defined as the obligation of the person responsible to compensate for the damages incurred by others due to their breach of contractual or legal obligations. The concept of civil liability implies that no harm should go uncompensated and no wrongdoing should go unpunished, so that everyone is accountable for their actions. Therefore, the question of the legal basis for the idea of civil liability is decisive in determining the applicability of this concept to artificial intelligence systems. This necessitates examining the compatibility of the legal liability concept with artificial intelligence systems before assessing the adequacy of current legal provisions to cover aspects of civil legal liability for artificial intelligence systems, in preparation for clarifying the reality of civil liability for artificial intelligence systems in legislation.
