In this research, we address high treason, considering it one of the cases in which the head of state is referred to parliamentary trial. This trial may result in the removal of the head of state, meaning the loss of his political existence, and his expulsion from the seat of power. Moreover, criminal penalties may be imposed on the head of state. As the head of state is the center of public authority in the state, he is a symbol of it. Constitutional systems in most countries stipulate that every state must have a president, ensuring the proper functioning of its affairs. The head of state is the highest representative of the state, speaking on its behalf and acting for it in external relations. The international legal status, recognized by international rules for the head of state, aligns with the privileges enjoyed according to internal constitutional laws. These rules provide that the will of the head of state and the actions endorsed in this capacity are attributed to the state itself, which bears all the consequences resulting from this will.
