Abstract

Information has become one of the essential matters available in most institutions, and it is a means to obtain credit for them. Moreover, millions of economic institutions worldwide operate in this way. From this standpoint, it is necessary to provide a legal foundation that ensures the necessary protection to prevent violations of credit privacy due to its evident impact on disrupting the economic system in general and the banking and consumer systems specifically, by establishing a strict legal framework that criminalizes all forms of violations of credit privacy and defines all actions that undermine individuals' trust in dealing with it. In the context of enhancing and developing the legislative environment for credit operations, Law No. 9 of 2019 was introduced. This law aims to establish a regulatory framework for companies operating in the field of credit rating for individuals and legal entities, as providing such a rating is a practical necessity to enable members of society to obtain the required credit based on scientific and objective accounting principles.
