A child cannot live stripped of their rights, which God Almighty has granted to them since the beginning of creation, nor can they thrive without these rights. Some of these rights are shared with those among whom the child lives, while others are specific to the child and are independent. The right to privacy or private life is one of the rights inherent to the child's life, and it is considered one of the most prominent rights associated with their personality, as it greatly impacts the realization of the child's human dignity. It is also classified among the most important freedoms, as it relates to the identity of the individual and society. To the extent that they enjoy this right, they can exercise their other rights and freedoms, according to Article (1) of the Egyptian Child Law, Law No. 12 of 1996, amended by Law 126 of 2008.
