Responsibility of the pharmacist to ensure drug safety.

Abstract

The pharmacist's responsibility to ensure the safety of medicine is of paramount importance, given the role of Drug Security in maintaining human health and life. Also, the United Arab Emirates has moved to pass legislation on medicines and medical products aimed at ensuring drug security and protecting the drug-acquiring consumer. By recognizing the pharmacist's civil liability for breaching his professional as well as legal obligations, and for making a mistake even if it is easy, which is addressed by regulating the legal provisions of the pharmacist's responsibility for the work of the pharmacist, the importance of food safety is thus demonstrated. This research aims to define the concept of commitment to Drug Security and its legislative basis, to indicate the pharmacist's obligations to achieve Drug Security, to identify the nature and scope of the pharmacist's civil liability for breach of drug safety, and to show how to compensate for damages caused by the insecurity of the drug.
