Abstract

In light of the economic and social transformations that the world is witnessing today, economic justice emerges as a primary objective sought by many countries through various financial and tax policies. Defining the concept and mechanism of tax prices is considered one of the most important metrics relied upon to determine the significance of the fairness established by any tax system. Additionally, progressive income tax is regarded as one of the essential tools used by governments to redistribute wealth, reduce economic gaps between different segments of society, achieve economic stability and growth, address economic issues including inflation, and collect the necessary revenues to cover the expenses faced by countries. This has prompted many legislators, including the Egyptian and Jordanian legislators, to amend the regulations governing the income tax imposed.
