Abstract

Liability, especially criminal liability, is one of the most important topics in criminal law. In principle, only a person who has the capacity is responsible. However, the law may require specific characteristics that must be present in the perpetrators of some crimes, such as corporate crimes, due to considerations appreciated by the legislator. With the development of criminal liability, the issue of determining the criminally responsible person developed, as economic entities emerged, such as commercial companies, which may commit certain crimes and can be held criminally accountable under conditions approved by some legislation in general, while other legislation refrained from holding them criminally accountable.
