The role of the green economy in achieving environmental sustainability.

Abstract

The production policies followed in the traditional economy have resulted in many problems, including increasing carbon emissions and depleting economic resources. The green economy is considered a model of economic development based on the idea of ​​environmental economics, and aims to optimize the exploitation of economic resources and reduce the depletion of economic resources. Therefore, this study addressed the role of the green economy and clean energy sources as a mechanism to attract and attract more foreign investments in the renewable energy sector, which contributes to achieving sustainable development in its four dimensions: economic, social, environmental, and technological, by measuring the impact of independent variables represented by the state’s ability to produce and generate energy. Renewable energy, in addition to the country's ability to generate electricity from renewable energy and move away from traditional sources of electricity generation.  The Organization for Cooperation with United Nations programs has emphasized the possibility of transformation by focusing on the pattern of efficiency in the use of resources, waste management, and environmental preservation.
