The Iraqi economy has suffered from many problems and structural imbalances that have greatly affected its economic reality, which caused it to bear a lot of financial, economic and social burdens, and after 2003 Iraq had to carry out some economic reforms and integrate with the international community in order to correct economic paths and find appropriate solutions to the problems borne by the Iraqi economy, where Iraq cooperated with the International Monetary Fund and made economic agreements in order to reform the reality of the Iraqi economy, including these agreements of the support agreement. The emergency aid agreement is a first step on the way to achieving economic reform, getting rid of structural imbalances that have afflicted the sectors of the Iraqi economy, encouraging foreign investment, seeking to privatize the public sector and giving greater opportunity to the private sector in economic activity. Therefore, in this research, the most important economic reforms achieved by the support agreement between Iraq and the International Monetary Fund were addressed through the analysis of internal and external indicators in the Iraqi economy, and it turned out that the support agreement has achieved many economic reforms, including reducing the accumulated deficit in the public budget, reducing unemployment and inflation, and reducing Iraq's external debt by 80%, all to achieve economic development in Iraq.
