There is no doubt that in this research, excerpted from the thesis entitled "The Duration of the Authority of Actual Facts," which was taken from the thesis on "Actual Facts and Their Effect on Islamic Rulings," an introduction is provided to an important and delicate topic: the extent of authority enjoyed by actual facts. This is the crucial and fundamental point we are examining in this research at hand. In other words, we collectively ask this important question: What is the authority enjoyed by actual facts? Is there a consensus on their authority and significance in the reality of Islamic jurisprudence, or is it a matter of disagreement among jurists? If it is a matter of disagreement among jurists, then what is the extent and scope of this disagreement? Is there a general agreement or a majority among jurists regarding the extent of this authority or not? The answers to all these questions will clearly outline the picture before us and allow us to grasp accurate responses. Throughout the pages of this research, we will see precise answers to this issue, namely the extent of the authority of actual facts and the degree of consensus and disagreement among Muslim jurists on this specific matter.
