Abstract

The world has witnessed a significant role of medium, small, and micro enterprises in supporting economic growth and achieving sustainable development, due to their pivotal role in innovation, integration with large enterprises, job creation, increasing production, maximizing GDP, and improving individuals' income levels. They represent the backbone of the economy in many countries. The sector of medium, small, and micro enterprises in Egypt has long suffered from numerous legislative and regulatory challenges, which have diminished its satisfactory participation in economic development. Therefore, the political leadership in Egypt has given this sector special attention, represented in creating a legislative environment that includes a package of incentives and facilitations to support these enterprises, which play a fundamental role in driving economic development and providing job opportunities for youth.
