Abstract

The issue of holding artificial intelligence accountable for medical errors is a controversial topic in the realm of modern medical technology. Some question the ability of artificial intelligence to bear responsibility for the errors it commits in the field of medicine, especially with the advancement of technology and the increasing reliance of medical institutions on artificial intelligence for disease diagnosis and treatment decisions. If artificial intelligence in medicine serves as a valuable assistant, it is essential to establish objective mechanisms for accountability when errors occur. Responsibility must be defined, and oversight of the algorithms and data upon which the system relies should be ensured to guarantee patient safety and the quality of healthcare. The cautious application of artificial intelligence in medicine is crucial, considering its potential positive and negative impacts, necessitating the establishment of a regulatory framework to ensure transparency in operations and address the legal and ethical implications that may arise from its use.
