Litigation procedures before the International Criminal Court.

Abstract

The International Criminal Court is one of the international judicial bodies that would contribute to resolving conflicts by peaceful means, which prevents the UN Security Council from using the repressive measures contained in Chapter Seven of the United Nations Charter. International law has been striving for a long time to find a mechanism capable of protecting... Human rights in times of peace and war alike, after it was decided to strengthen and promote these rights at the international level, in view of the serious violations and violations of the rules of international human rights law and international humanitarian law that aim to protect human rights, and thus the individual was one of the subjects of international law. When the International Criminal Court begins to address any case, it must ensure that the claim falls within its jurisdiction and that it is accepted so that it can then continue the necessary procedures. Accordingly, in the first requirement, we address the mechanisms for prohibiting the case before the International Criminal Court, and in the second requirement, we present the investigation stage. Before the court begins its procedures, it must verify that the case falls within its jurisdiction and that it is admissible. Then comes the investigation stage, which aims to search for information and evidence that may lead to knowing the truth.
