Civil society institutions play a crucial role in community development and the creation of balanced societies. They also contribute to supporting systems in proving democratic governance systems. This is only achievable when these institutions are granted regulations, foundations, and standards that ensure their ability to work freely and justly. Therefore, it became necessary for countries to show a legislative environment that is suitable and supportive of these institutions. Given that Egypt has faced numerous political and economic challenges since the beginning of the current century and the end of the previous one, its legislative structure had to focus on regulating the situation of many civil society institutions through texts and rules that are compatible with the changes and events. As governance of civil society institutions has become the active cornerstone in shaping their effectiveness and impact on society, there is a need to discuss their governance through principles that subject their activities to a set of laws, regulations, and decisions aimed at achieving quality and excellence in fulfilling their mission.
