With the popularity of the popular brand on the Internet, it has become fertile ground for aggressors who seek to exploit it for their own commercial or financial ends. As a result, there had to be legal protection for famous trademarks on the Internet at all levels, as efforts were focused by individuals and countries to protect that mark, as international conventions were concluded and countries enacted legislation that regulates this mark and guarantees its protection. A well-known trademark enjoys civil and penal protection in various forms, when used by third parties on goods or services similar to those on which the famous mark is placed, even if it is not registered or used within the country from which protection is requested, as the trademark registrar must refrain from registering marks identical or similar to a famous mark if the registration was submitted by a non-owner of the famous mark and it is related to the use of the mark to distinguish products or services similar to those bearing The famous mark, which is stated in Article (8) of the Jordanian Trademark Law, as well as the Egyptian Intellectual Property Law in Article (68).
